Seeking Producer for Highly Produced Chat Show

We are looking for an experienced producer to help make an ambitious new comedy chat show hosted by a high-profile entertainer. The show will be conversational, but also rich with sound design, archival tape, and original scoring. Our goal is to break the mold of what a chat show can sound like, how it can be structured, and what experience it can deliver to a listener.

You will be working with Prologue principals Leon Neyfakh and Andrew Parsons, and will be responsible for all aspects of show pre-production and production. Candidates must have experience producing high-profile hosts and guests, and be excellent at booking, managing schedules, and remote recording. They will need to assist hosts with prep, run the show, manage guest producers, and organize tape in Pro Tools (or similar editing software). Experience in sound design and scoring are a plus.

Pay is based on experience, 75 - 90k. Production starts in July and the project is ongoing for a year. We are based in Brooklyn, NY and prefer NYC-based producers, but we’re open to working with remote producers, particularly if they’re open to travel.

If interested, please respond to jobs@prologueprojects.com with a cover letter, resume, and references.

SEEKING ARCHIVAL PRODUCER FOR NARRATIVE NON-FICTION
PODCASTS

Prologue Projects is hiring a full-time archival producer to help us sift through hours of archive material across two different narrative shows, including our flagship podcast, Fiasco. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for digging through archival tape, a facility with tape management, and a demonstrated interest in political and cultural history.

Preferred but not required: familiar with the Fiasco / Slow Burn sensibility; comfort with Pro Tools or similar audio editing software; and experience organizing archival material for documentary projects.

Pay is based on experience, $55 - $70k/yr. Position starts in August and is full-time. We are based in Brooklyn, NY and prefer NYC-based producers, but we’re open to working with remote producers. If interested, please respond to jobs@prologueprojects.com with a cover letter, resume, and references.

Prologue Projects is actively seeking diversity in the workplace. A workplace that reflects diversity in backgrounds, experiences, and ideas is important to us. We encourage people from traditionally underrepresented groups and marginalized communities to apply.
